Natalie Garcia, President

Salutations! I'm Natalie Garcia, your IASC President and I hope you are having a wonderful time during the last weeks of your summer! Let me just give you a little break down of who I am. I will be a senior at Downers Grove South High School where I am involved in theater, drama, forensics, and I serve as my high school's newspaper editor. I love to shop, golf, shop, go out, and I have an addiction to espresso. Earlier this year, along with 51 other students from around the state, we attended the National Student Council Conference in Cupertino, California where we cheered, heard great speakers, danced our hearts out, and met a lot of INTERESTING people. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life and I will apply the leadership skills I have gained during my term as President. School quickly is approaching, so don't forget to become involved in the IASC. This organization is only as strong as its leaders. So continue to lead in your community. Let us all join together to make the most out of our IASC year. Please feel free to call me, e-mail me, write me, or even visit me! Take care and I'll see you around!

Meredith Seckman, First Vice-President

Hey wonderful world of IASC! This is your host Jay Leno. Opps, wrong show. Actually this is your First Vice President, Meredith Seckman. A little bit about myself you plead for? :-) Well, I will be a seventeen year old senior at Midwest Central High School this coming school year. I am involved in cheerleading, softball, and maybe cross country if I can get the guts to do it. I'm in too many extra curricular activities to list at my school, but this year my main focus is my boyfriend. I mean my job as First VP. As you can see I take life seriously only when I have to, other than that I try to laugh as much as possible. I am truly looking forward to having you all apply for an honor delegate position. (I can't wait you grade all your applications!) This year is going to be filled with tons of fun and I hope you plan on remaining a part of it! Love, luck, and lollipops!

Ed Lunney, Second Vice President

Hey IASC! My name is Ed Lunney and I am your 2000-2001 IASC Second Vice President. I am so glad that all of you decided to further your leadership training by attending this excellent workshop. I hope to hear from you in your honor delegate applications or just through e-mail. My lines are always open for your convenience and please don't ever hesitate to ask any questions you may have. My e-mail address is johnirish2@aol.com and I can't wait to hear from you.

Jeremy Vaught, Secretary

Hello to the land of IASC! I am Jeremy Vaught, your IASC Secretary. This fall, I will be a senior at Shiloh H.S. in Hume. I too attended the NASC Conference in California. It was amazing! I met some very cool people and I learned a great deal that will assist me throughout my term as IASC Secretary. At my home school. I am involved in student council, NHS, and more importantly, I work to serve you, the IASC! My main duties as secretary are taking minutes at the board meetings and heading the honor council books program. The Honor Council Book is like a giant scrap book that includes all activities your student council does throughout the year. That's it for now! Call me if you need anything. I am here to answer any and all questions you may have!

Katie Lindsay, Treasurer

HI IASC! I'm Katie and I am your Treasurer. I am a senior at Macomb H.S in Macomb. Macomb is a western town about 20.000 people and it is "Home of the Rams." I have a family of five with two older siblings; Jeff and Lara. I have been involved with the YMCA gymnastics team. I am happy to say that I teach gymnastics now. As well, I have been a cheerleader since 6th grade. I love student council, Spanish Club, and the Math Club. Well, I hope this week at Millikin is great! Your leadership skills will only enhance the skills you are naturally equipped with. I hope yu gain many friendships and simply have a great time.

Eslam Najjar, Convention Secretary

Oi! Hi everyone! My name is Eslam Najjar and I am your 2000-2001 IASC Convention Secretary. I am born and raised Southside Chicagoan. I recently turned seventeen while I was attending the NASC Conference in California. It was a blast! I'm going into my senior year at Bogan Technical High School. I have two pets; two cats named Luke and Ferris and a new hampster names Cous Cous. Aside from student council. another thing I love to do is listen to music and go to shows. I listen to everything from punk, ska, and oi to hip hop, jungle, and house. I also practice the Muslim religion. That's just a little bit about me. I hope to get to know all of you throughout the year. I'm very enthused and ready for this upcoming school year to work on State Convention. I will do my best and I'm sure it'll be great because I'm working with a fantastic executive board. I'll see you soon and feel free to call or e-mail me with any suggestions or if you want to chat. Bye for now!
